The following is a list of items generally needed by the Band. If you were able to donate any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated:
During Marching Season:
• Bottled Water
• Large cans of powdered Gator-Aid
• Can Pop
• Individually Packaged Snacks
(Gardettos, Cheese-its, Bugles, peanut butter crackers, peanuts, trail mix, etc?)
• Baked Goods
(breakfast breads, fresh fruit, and sandwiches)
Throughout the Year:
• First Class Stamps for Band Mailings.
• Avery Mailing Labels #5160 for Newsletter
Volunteer Opportunities:
During Marching Season:
• Pre-Game Preparation: 1. Fill water coolers with ice from school concession. 2. Help load and or unload equipment before and after Football Games
• Chaperone: Ride the bus to and from Football Games, sit with students in the stands, and supervise band events.
• Props: Assemble/Disassemble Props before and or after Football Games and Contests, Push Props on and off Field at Football Games and or Contests
• Pre-Contest Preparation: 1. Feed students before departing, 2. Pack and Load Food. 3. Load and or Unload Instruments
• Chaperone: (All Day) Ride the bus to and from Contests: Help feed students at Contests 2-3 meals, Grill Hot Dogs & Hamburgers, Help Set-up and Take Down Tents and Serving Tables
• Tow trailer to and from Football Games and/or Contests
• Drive Instrument Truck to and from Football Games and or Contests
• Donate bottled water, can pop, individually packaged snacks, baked goods and or fresh fruit for Football Games and or Contests (Will this be usable for volunteer hours?)
• First Aide personnel for Band Camp, Contests, Football Games, and all overnight trips.
• Work at Concessions at Football Games at UCO Wantland Stadium and Basketball Games at ENHS.
• Help with Spirit Sales at Home Football Games
• Help Distribute Fundraiser Products: Cheesecake, Cheese & Sausage, Cookie Dough, Blue and Gold Sausage Butter Braids (Usually immediately after school because product is parishable)
• Help with Fall/Spring Garage Sale and/or Art & Craft Fair set up or clean up or planning
• Help with Fall Silent Auction: Ask local businesses for donation, set up and clean up
• Winter/Spring Concert: Sell roses to Parents, distribute Programs
• Marching Uniform Fittings and Check out/Check in before and after Football Games and Contests
Throughout The Year:
• Spring Awards Banquet: Help Plan and Execute
• Freshman Orientation: Help Plan and Execute
• Summer Band Camp: Help Plan and execute, Chaperone, Work Snack Bar
• Sewing: Hem Uniforms, Concert Dresses, Color Guard/Winter Guard Uniforms, Flags
• Spring Trip Chaperone
• Help with Car Washes during the Summer (4 scheduled)
• Corporate Fund Raising
• Prop Building: Welding, Carpentry and Repairs
• Chaperone at Special Events: Lock-ins, Christmas Dance, etc?
• Hospitality/Refreshments: Provide refreshments for Band Parent Booster Meetings
• Other Skills, Interests, Talents
