In addition to the Directors, many talented young teachers, who are all skilled in their area of expertise, are hired as support staff. These instructors work with the students one-on-one during rehearsals and offer a greater surface area for instruction. The support staff aid the Directors by taking on instructional duties that can be accomplished by non-Director personnel. These staff are generally young men and women who have proven themselves through great accomplishment on and off the marching field. Many of these instructors are or were members in the University of Oklahoma's "Pride of Oklahoma" marching band, and many of them have spent countless hours mastering their skills with summer teaching programs or with world class drum and bugle corps.
